1. The Tomb Is Open
Peter and the disciples experience their darkest hour in the premiere of this miniseries that dramatizes the impact of Christ's death on his disciples and the era's political and religious leaders.
2. The Body Is Gone
Jesus' tomb is empty, and Pilate and Caiaphas suspect the disciples stole the body. The disciples journey to Galilee, receiving their mission from Jesus.
3. The Spirit Arrives
Pilate is targeted for assassination by zealot revolutionaries during the festival of Pentecost. Meanwhile, the disciples feel empowered by the Holy Spirit and begin preaching, and Peter and John are arrested by Caiaphas.
4. The Wrath
Pilate seeks revenge for the murder of a Roman soldier. Elsewhere, Caiaphas fails to convict Peter and John, and the church grows.
5. The First Martyr
Pilate closes in on an assassin. Meanwhile, the disciples stand trial again, and Stephen suffers the consequences of speaking out against the temple.
6. The Persecution
Caiaphas is challenged for the position of High Priest after having failed to silence the disciples. He then launches a campaign to persecute the followers of Jesus.
7. The Visit
Saul targets Peter. Meanwhile, many flee the city and spread the Word as they go, and Jerusalem spirals into chaos as an arriving emperor decides Pilate's fate.
8. The Road to Damascus
Saul hunts for Peter and has a life-altering vision on the road to Damascus. Also: Claudia's nightmares become a reality; Pilate's destiny turns for the worse.
9. Saul's Return
Emperor Caligula makes a demand that his statue be placed in the temple, yet Pilate and Caiaphas know this will stir up a rebellion. Meanwhile, Saul returns a changed man.
10. Brothers in Arms
Saul preaches in Jerusalem and Caiaphas fumes. Meanwhile, James the Just helps Peter, and the Zealots and Ethiopians scheme against Rome.
11. Rise Up
Caiaphas is confronted by James; as the Zealot army grows, a backer turns to Jesus; Peter resurrects Tabitha.
12. The Abomination
The arrival of Emperor Caligula's statue draws everyone to the battleground of the temple; Cornelius becomes the first Roman convert.
